Info for Authors

Abstracts

The corresponding authors are invited to submit the abstracts before May 15, 2026 May 31, 2026 (extended) (the deadline for submitting abstracts has been extended). Abstracts (not exceeding 850 words) should be submitted through NENE Conference Login tab on the upper right of this page. Please create an account and submit the contribution (abstract) using the Your Submissions and Abstract Submissions tabs. Authors may indicate preferred submission format (poster or oral presentation) and the topic. 

The Program Committee will review the abstracts and inform the corresponding authors about the acceptance and the type of presentation before June 30, 2026.

Paper

Full length papers limited to 8 pages should be submitted through the NENE conference application.

Please login to your user account and upload the paper in the “Your Submissions” menu, "1st file: docx". The deadline for submission of papers is August 31, 2026.  (August 10, 2026 Full length papers for Young Authors Competitors.) Please submit your paper with the name Paper_ID.docx (or pdf/zip for LaTex).

The paper template is available for MS Word (.docx) and  for the LaTeX users.

Posters and Presentations During the Conference

Posters should be prepared to fit within 95 cm (width) x 110 cm (height).

      

Oral presentations will be limited to 15 minutes. The authors are kindly asked to present their papers in 12 minutes to allow 3 minutes for discussion (Young Authors will present short 5 minutes oral presentation). The participants are advised to prepare their oral presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint. To ensure a smooth process, please submit your presentation in pptx format with the name Paper_ID.pptx  via ConfTool (login to your user account and upload the presentation in the “Your Submissions” menu, "2nd file: pptx") no later than September 5, 2026

Proceedings

Proceedings containing full length peer reviewed papers presented at the conference will be published after the conference and mailed to the participants.

Awards

Young Author Award

An award will be presented for the best paper prepared by a first author aged no more than 32 years.  

The Young Author Award Committee will review the eligible papers and select the winner. The number of co-authors should be limited to a maximum of two additional co-authors (advisers or mentors). Candidates are kindly requested to indicate their intent to participate in the contest when submitting the abstract. When submitting the contribution for the Young Authors Award, the applicant should describe precisely, what is his contribution to the paper.

Full-length papers competing for the Young Authors Award should be submitted before August 10, 2026.
At the conference (September 7 - 10, 2026) Young Authors will present a short oral presentation (3 min) in addition to their poster or oral presentations.
 

Two awards at most will be presented for the best papers prepared by first young authors. The Young Author Award Committee will review the submitted papers and select the winner(s).

Award rules:

  • The candidate (young author contestant) should have been born on or after January 1st, 1994.
  • Each candidate can participate in the contest with only one paper of their choice.
  • The candidate should attend the conference.
  • The candidate should briefly present their work in the young authors special session (the exact maximum presentation time will be stipulated before the conference).
  • The candidate should be the first and the presenting author.
  • The number of eventual additional co-authors is limited to a maximum of two.
  • The award will be based on:
    • the quality of the paper, and
    • the quality of the presentation during the young authors special session.
  • The paper should be prepared according to the conference template (including the maximum length of eight pages, including references).
  • The paper should be submitted no later than August 10, 2026, at 23:59 CET.

The rules will be strictly enforced out of fairness to those candidates who have followed them. Exceptionally, in case of a minor omission, the Young Author Award Committee may grant (at their own discretion) the possibility to a candidate to resubmit the corrected paper in a very short time, with only the omission corrected.

Best Poster Award

The best poster will be selected by the Best Poster Award Committee. The posters will be evaluated according to clarity of objectives, results and conclusions, scientific relevance, as well as according to aesthetics and attractiveness.
