The jubilee 30th NENE2021 conference, organized by the Nuclear Society of Slovenia in association with the Jožef Stefan Institute, Reactor Engineering Division, was held at the Rikli Balance Hotel in the beautiful alpine resort of Bled during September 6-9, 2021.

In light of current Covid-19 situation and associated uncertainties, we decided again this year to make NENE2021 a hybrid conference that will offer both in-person and remote participation.
Hence, we introduced a reduced registration fee of 350 € for remote participation (via Zoom platform).
The remote participation fee includes:
Oral contributions of remote participants will be arranged live through Zoom platform.
*Posters of remote participants will be displayed both printed, for in-person audience, and in electronic form for all conference attendees. Printing of posters for remote participants will be performed by the conference organisers at no extra cost. The authors are encouraged to indicate their preferred communication channel on the poster to enable communication between authors and all conference attendees.

Submission of full-length papers is due by August 23rd, 2021. Papers competing for the Young Authors Award should be submitted before August 10th, 2021. The instructions can be found here.
The conference of the Nuclear Society of Slovenia is an international annual meeting of professionals dealing with different aspects of nuclear energy from all around Europe and worldwide. The primary objective of the meeting is to foster international cooperation amongst professionals active in nuclear research and educational institutions, nuclear vendors, utilities and regulatory bodies. The jubilee conference will coincide with the Slovenian presidency of the EU Council in the second half of 2021.
