The 28th International Conference Nuclear Energy for New Europe

NENE2019 held in the Grand Hotel Bernardin, Portorož, during September, 9 – 12, 2019, brought together 159 participants from 26 countries. This year, the leading theme of the conference was the role of nuclear energy in decarbonisation of energetics and society. The conference was accompanied by the Embedded Workshop on “RAPID Code System and its VRS Environment”.

The Young Author Award for the best paper by young author was presented to:

Antti Rintala from VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, for the paper Pin Power Reconstruction Method for Rectangular Geometry in Nodal Neutronics Program Ants, co-authored by Ville Sahlberg

Thanks goes to the members of the Young Author Award Committee, who carefully selected the best presentation among excellent contributions of 7 young authors from 4 countries, participating in the contest.
